Let yourself be advised by qualified personnel and do not acquire your contact lenses or glasses in establishments that do not give you guarantees.

APPROVED AND QUALITY. A sunglasses should have good lenses, 100 UV filter, and if it is polarized, much better, since it will eliminate reflections. This benefit is indispensable in the sea or mountains, since the reflection of the means (snow and sea) is almost 100%. As for the mount, let it be light.

Polycarbonate, more resistant. This type of material also makes the lenses light and offers a higher level of protection than organic or glass. Indicated for sport.

Contact lenses: respect expiration. Do not take more time than indicated your contact lenses of the month or biweekly, as this can affect the hydration and comfort of the eye. Since you open them, they last 30 days, regardless of whether you wear them or not daily, and it is essential to coat your lens holder (not water) so that the lens is as hydrated as possible. Nor do cleaning solutions last more than 3 months open, replenish them frequently.

Combine systems Alternate the use of contact lenses with sunglasses, as the lens tends to dry out and give a dry eye feeling.

Cleaners. Do not use home remedies to clean contact lenses, such as water or vinegar. Only professional liquids: multipurpose cleaners, rinses and disinfects and are the most popular.

UV lenses. Most contact lenses also incorporate UV-blocking filters in their manufacturing materials, which does not exclude the use of sunglasses.

The sunscreen category (0-4) of sunglasses allows to typify them. Those of category 3 have a sufficiently dark color so that they are comfortable in full sun.

Darker is better? A darker color does not mean greater sun protection: UV rays are not affected if the lenses are more or less dark.

And to drive at night? Only lenses with a minimum transmission of 75% (class 0 and some of 1) can be used for night driving.
